What a wonderful revolution made possible by a friend and somewhat local writer of mine who I am sure would prefer to remain nameless. Her name isn’t important, it’s the change she inspired.

Though there is an World Kindness Day officially on November 13th, my friend created a Facebook event which, as of December 8, 2012 12:28 EST, has 446 members committing to preforming at least one act of kindness before the day is done.

It doesn’t have to be much. Paying it forward can simply be paying for the order of the car behind us in a drive thru, donating an unused toy to a family less fortunate, scrolling sites like <a href="”>Kijiji to find someone wanting something you no longer need or can easily afford and dropping it off to them. Taking a second to vote for a group trying to win funds to be able to continue giving back, the Moncton, New Brunswick SPCA or like Andy Brown, a Fredericton, New Brunswick wonderful musician who recently launched a new cd for two grand examples.

Facebook makes it really easy to like a new authors page, Amazon makes it easy to write a review on an amazing book you read, bloggers make it easy to follow a mom posting about the kind acts she is doing.

And YouTube makes it easy to discover new ways to be kind.

It’s great that we have special dates highlighted to do this but it’s very easy and affordable to pay it forward each and everyday. Make a habit of it and share your kindness.

Thanks for reading and paying it forward,
