Kathy Reichs is an author I’ve grown to love; through her books, Bones – her tv series, and a local appearance. She’s an author I’ve come to greatly respect and look up to.

When deciding which book of hers to buy while seeing her on tour I decided on Cross Bones (Temperance Brennan Novels). If this was the first book I read of hers it may have been the last so I’m thankful it was one of my later reads.

With religion and its possibilities on the forefront the perspectives this novel suggested were intriguing but I found could have been presented in a much clearer way. Twists and turns I’m used to, leaps and bounds I can find difficult to follow especially when dealing with religion.

Although I raced through Cross Bones (Temperance Brennan Novels), eating up every word, I was almost relieved when I was finished because her next most recently published book, 206 Bones: A Novel (Temperance Brennan Novels), was waiting in the next room.

I’ll always be a fan of Kathy Reichs, buying all of her novels, but it’s fair to say not all of her books will make it to my favourites list.

Thank you for reading,

I am giving away a story for a review on Amazon/ Chapters or Barnes and Noble. If you would like me to email you a copy of one of my Brain Tales please send me your email address and I will promptly send you a random story.

All I ask in return is the promise not to give the story away and to write a short review on one of the sites I mentioned above.

You couldn’t ask for anything better on a sunny afternoon (or rainy, if you happen to not be enjoying the Spring weather so many of us are statusing about).

Thanks for your help!

I took a risk, the first one in my life, and I didn’t have time to think through the consequences. It just came out.

“You said you haven’t found a place yet so there’s no reason to start peeling my oranges now.”

“Don’t you mean apples?”

“Oh, you wouldn’t understand. Would you like a piece?”

“Mother, a piece of what? I’ll pass on the pie shell.”
