At an event yesterday the host said she asked herself about 30 years ago if she would still love reading the same book she wrote to kids in 30 years. That question really had an effect on me.

Not just as an author but as a person. Trying to live to be an inspiration to my son everyday I often ask myself if I’m happy with what I’m currently doing, not just for him but for me and my progression. Too many times have I answered no to this because in some instances I’m simply doing something for money and not for the long term effects.

We can be satisfied in the moment but know that it’s not something that will change our lives for 30 years from now. Being doing something that we can’t see ourselves being happy doing 6000 more times over the same amount of days. And if we can’t envision that we have to see something else for ourselves and do something today to get us there.

So today I’m reading a book titled Creating Money: Keys to Abundance that was gifted to me by a dear friend so I will empower myself to use my passions, talents and tools to create a past I’ll still admire in 30 years and one I’ll still thoroughly enjoy after retirement age.

Everything does happen for a reason and when you open yourself up to the signs you’ll find yourself much happier than you ever thought you’d be. And so will your kids.
