A risk a day doesn’t have to be much but it can go a long way.
I’ve been dreading but intrigued by the idea of consuming kale. It seems to be all the health focused people are talking about these days but recipes encouraged a substitute for the first try. I decided to just go for it.
Sites are reporting kale as low in calorie, high in fiber and having zero fat, high in vitamin K (I haven’t even heard of Vitamin K!), high in fibre, anti-oxidants, and so much more (click here for more benefits)! The dark green leafy plant packs a punch in it’s light weight division so I decided I had to stop putting it off and just try it.
So I tried a smoothie recipe filled with many other things I love and other new ingredients and although prep of this smoothie was cumbersome the end result made it completely worthwhile. I didn’t even wimp out and use the recommend spinach for my first taste, I was all in for the full health benefits.
Although it looked almost gruesome the taste was fabulous! And it filled me for hours!
