This story completely captured me from beginning to end. Like a drowning victim who can’t catch their breath, the fast paced story of Sarah Richardson discovering who she is during every day life was spell-binding and life consuming.

Canadian author, Cheryl Kaye Tardif, stuns me with her character driven stories each time I pick one up. I immediately fall in love and feel my heart break and soar with the friends I meet in her book and know they are truly a part of who the author is.

Brilliant Read that’s Everlasting

Whale Song is not for the faint of heart as it deals with a lot of emotional roller coasters and yet it’s so beautiful I recommend it for young adult and adult readers alike. There’s a fascination with sea creatures in most of us along with a fear of the unknown which Tardif tackles from the viewpoint of a young girl growing up in a strange world in the 70’s.

Intertwined with Indian symbolism and beliefs anyone can grasp, Sarah’s story is filled with love lost and discovered.

If you or your family have ever lost anyone close or wonder if you would ever consider putting someone out of their misery, this is a must read for insight like none other I have ever read.

Thanks for reading,

Sarah Butland
