When a new restaurant comes to town it’s always the talk of the community with people wanting to try it immediately, to be the first to experience something new. And when you’re talking about it you feel like you’re missing out if a friend has gone without you.

Of an old restaurant with a new special. Maybe a renovated theatre or a store opened that you haven’t been to.

The anticipation of trying a fruit or vegetable you haven’t experienced yet is exhilarating and addictive in some cases when you finally try it. I saw a yellow watermelon the other day and was disappointed when I went back for it and it was sold out. I know I’ll be thinking of it until it’s sweetness touches my tongue.

With all this said the best new aspect of life I look forward to is finding an emerging author and with self- and independent publishing on the rise these authors are easy to find. I’ve meet hundreds of new-to-me authors through Facebook, blogging and Goodreads so you can do it, too!

I know you’ll find a new writer you’ll grow to love and anticipate their next published work. Kelly Moran is one of my diamonds in the sea I’ve found, Eileen Schuh another. I know there are plenty more to meet and will be open to many new books by up-and-coming authors.

To give you a chance to read my first novel I lowered the price of Arm Farm to only $2.99. As they say, about the price of a coffee but longer lasting and definitely more fulfilling.

Thanks for reading,

Sarah Butland author of Sending You Sammy, Brain Tales – Volume One and Arm Farm
