With the eve of another year on the calendar comes many New Year’s Resolutions. The most common seems to be to lose weight but I want more than that.
2014 will be an amazing year for me. I will gain health, wealth and, most importantly, time with my family and to myself.
I’m going to be challenging myself to do one thing every day that scares me, to write a short story once a week and submit one to a contest each month as well as pitch many magazine editors.
Every year at this time I look back, most of us do, at the accomplishments of the previous year. This year what I see is my wonderful son, a new beginning and a moment of learning how to find me in all of the hustle and bustle of life.
At this time next year, I will have many much more than a happy son smiling back at me though even that is precious. I will be smiling too.
So hug your family tight, write down your expectations in a positive and realistic way and go do it!
See you on Friday. 🙂
