I know, I know, I tried this before with Pam Grout’s E-Squared and admittedly didn’t complete it, but I wanted to try it again with Safekeeping: A Writer’s Guided Journal for Launching a Book with Love by Chelene Knight. I also promise to complete E-Squared when I can. As I am reading this to review for The Miramichi Reader, I vow to complete it and my posts about it quickly.
Unlike with E-Squared, Safekeeping is a journal encouraging the reader to complete the blank spaces within the book. If you know me at all, I have a hard time writing in a books pages so, instead, will answer the questions here for all to see. Of course, the questions and answers don’t do this book justice as it clarifies their value and each written piece exemplifies the value of the journey itself. All this to say – the book covers far more than the questions being asked and therefore is worthwhile for any writer looking to amplify their journey. I will also not be completing/ answering all of the questions asked, giving you just a sampling of what this book has to offer.
Here we go!
Five things that make me awesome is a hard question to start with. While I try to focus on the positive, to the point many have called me delusional and unrealistic, I do think it’s important to take a moment to realize each of us is awesome and we should be confident in those answers.
- I am passionate with a purpose.
- I support others as much as I can.
- I am a go-getter.
- My imaginative and ability to express it always amazes me.
- My determination to succeed through writing has brought me to many awesome places.
What makes you awesome? Share with me in the comments and we can celebrate our fantasticness together! And go get Chelene’s book so you can follow along!
Thanks for reading,
