Exciting news was brought to me by my publisher this week and that is the fact that my books will soon be available through Chapters (the largest Canadian book retailer). I struggled to figure out how to meet all of  their requirements to make my book easily accessible to my fellow Canadians and support a Canadian retailer but with no success.

To discover that my printer has finally made the connection and has met all the qualifications for us is phenomonal. Especially since I just uploaded Brain Tales Volume One for print (release party to be held at Cover to Cover Books in Riverview December 6th, 2008). Not to mention finally getting some publicity through my local newspaper, Times and Transcript. Things are finally developing with my writing career and I can feel the effects.

Now I have to work on my novel to complete the story before my illustrator, Trent Washburn, perfects his cover drawing for it. Stay tuned…

My current project consists of publishing a collection of short stories that I’ve written through the years. I’m calling it Brain Tales Volume 1 (with more to follow) and have it ready and just waiting for the cover to be drawn by a friend, Trent Washburn. In it’s final stages the cover promises to catch your eye and fully capture the concept of Brain Tales exactly as I hoped.

This volume has just been submitted and I am awaiting to receive the proof. I will let you all know when this has been approved and is available for purchase.

I will be continuing to work on short stories for the next collection but will be sure to let you know when and where Brain Tales Volume 1 is availble.

Finally the local paper caught some buzz on my book signing for Sending You Sammy at Cover to Cover Books. Check out the Times and Transcript for details and Cover to Cover Books for information and a map to the store. Be sure to catch me on December 6th to hear me read the book to my fans and don’t miss your chance to get a great Christmas gift for any child in your life.

Last year a good friend from high school came in to my life again and brought with him the concept of The Secret aka The Law of Attraction. Immediately I took an interest to finding out what it was all about and watched the movie with my husband. It blew me away before I even realized it’s powers. For the next two or three weeks everything was about The Secret. I saw the book on the shelves, heard of a presentation being offered in my local city and had family and other friends tell me about it. The law of attraction was working.

We’ve since introduced this idea to others and spread the secret. In doing so we’ve only enlightened ourselves even more, watched the movie again with friends and attempt to live it every day. After some struggles I began looking for different ways on how to rejuvenate my belief and therefore my actions in the method and, in doing so, discovered book titled The Law of Attraction In Action.

Studying this book by PH Davis I began trying to understand how to make it work for me. This is the book I was looking for and would recommend to anyone having trouble focusing on what they want.

With this book, the knowledge of the Secret and your dreams you can be who you want to be. I know I want to be a writer, no matter the drawbacks or the struggle, and every day that I write a poem, a part of a story, a blog, etc I come alive and meet a new part of myself. This is who I am and is what I want to do and the Law of Attraction In Action is helping me do that. Even if you don’t know who you are or what will make you happy this book will give you direction and the inspiration and courage to find out.

Have you ever wanted to meet an emerging author? Ever want to have a great children’s book for a gift that’s actually signed by the author? Do you have a child who would love to meet a new superhero and be able to say they met the writer of the story?

Have I got the opportunity for you! I’ll be at Cover to Cover in Riverview on December 6th, 2008 to sign Sending You Sammy books. I’ll be giving away bookmarks and having a draw for an Adventures Of Sammy poster for all who come.

Make sure you don’t miss me, no matter the reason because there’s not a more perfect time to spread the gift of word!
